On November 4, the 13th Jingdezhen primary and middle school students (children) pottery competition was successfully held in the national primary and secondary school pottery training base. The competition was sponsored by Jingdezhen Education and Sports Bureau, Jingdezhen Caring for the Next Generation Work Committee, Jingdezhen College, Jingdezhen Youth After-school Activities Center, and Baitao Club and other enterprises.

The competition was divided into four groups according to the age of high school, middle school, primary school and children. 290 young players from 23 secondary schools, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the city participated in the three projects of drawing, ceramic decoration and kneading and carving.

On the scene, the young players gave full play to their imagination, rubbed their hands and gave their own strength, and created vivid and interesting pottery works with unique shapes. Children, primary and secondary school students to cartoons, animals, full of childlike interest; High school and secondary school students are skilled in techniques, modeling, creative and ingenious.

In recent years, with pottery being included in the curriculum of labor education in the compulsory education stage, Jingdezhen building a national ceramic culture inheritance and innovation pilot zone and other policies and cultural background, schools at all levels and all types of schools have consciously introduced pottery courses based on the traditional ceramic soil of Fengwo, through the form of intangible cultural heritage into the campus, cultural study Tours, etc., so that children can receive artistic influence from an early age. Ceramic education has become a common trend.

Jingdezhen primary and secondary school students (children) ceramic art competition has been successfully held for 12 consecutive years, which has become an important platform for Jingdezhen to display the achievements of ceramic education, and has a positive impact on enhancing the next generation's sense of identity with excellent traditional arts, training and improving the hands-on creativity of primary and secondary school students, and establishing a correct sense of cultural self-confidence. At the same time, give play to the function of "talent engine" to reserve future successors for Jingdezhen ceramic industry.

Empower ceramic education, practice social responsibility! We know that labor education and ceramic education in the new era should start from an early age. To this end, since the sixth Jingdezhen Primary and Secondary School Students (children) Pottery Competition, Baichai Pottery Association has continued to participate in providing technical and service support within its capacity. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition, before the competition, Baitao Club cooperated with Jingdezhen College, Jingdezhen Off-campus Activity Center and representatives of participating schools to make thorough arrangements for the venue, equipment and facilities and safety protection.

After the end of the competition in the afternoon, the judges group composed of pottery professors from various universities in Jingshi and national and provincial ceramic arts and crafts masters conducted on-site scores immediately. The judges spoke highly of the works of the contestants and affirmed that they foresaw the future of ceramic art! The winners will be announced on the official website of Jingdezhen College in late December.
